Phone Activity Log — Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 3, 2026

Phone Activity Log ("the app") is developed by an independent developer. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and your choices.

1. Data the app collects

The app uses Android's built-in Usage Access permission to read which apps you open, when, and for how long. This is the core function of the app — it powers your screen-time dashboard, timeline, app breakdown, category breakdown, and trend charts.

This usage data never leaves your device. It is stored only in a local database on your phone. The app has no user accounts, no login, and no backend server of its own — there is nothing on our end to store your data even if we wanted to.

You can permanently delete all locally stored usage data at any time from Settings → Clear Data. Uninstalling the app also removes all of this data, since none of it is backed up anywhere else.

2. Permissions the app uses, and why

3. Third-party services

No other third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs are used.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your usage data with anyone. As described above, your usage data is never transmitted off your device by this app at all.

5. Children's privacy

The app is a general-purpose screen-time tracker and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect data from children in a manner different from any other user, and (per §1) does not collect or transmit personal data to any server regardless of user age.

6. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes (e.g. a future feature changes what data is collected), this page will be updated and the "Effective date" above will reflect the change.
